What do I do with X-ray equipment that I no longer use?

As you have probably figured out by now, you are being charged for the "Possession" of your equipment, and not for the "Use" of the equipment.  That means that as long as you have it (even if it is in your garage at home), you are responsible for paying for it.  In order to get an X-ray unit off of your registration, you have one of a few choices:
1) Sell it . . . perhaps list it on the Kevin Christian, LLC Facebook Page
2) Perhaps try contacting one of the national used dental equipment dealers: "Sunrise Dental Equipment" or  "Buydentalequipment.com
3) Donate it to a charitable organization.  Perhaps try "World of Smiles"
4) Give it away (some vets would love the unit for small animals)
5) Destroy it.  Destroying the unit means cutting the power supply, and shattering the glass x-ray tube within the tube housing.  Note: once you destroy it, you cannot just chuck it in the trash.  The tubehead has a Tungsten target in it that is an EPA regulated material.  The console can be taken to a recycle center.  But the tube, however, has to be disposed of in a specific way.  Try a company like BioServe.
6) Have your dental supply company haul off the entire unit for you (Usually a $385 fee).

Once you have done one of the above, print this
Deletion Form and fax it to the registration section in Nashville at  either (615) 532-0385 or (615) 532-7938.
